Join us for a smorgasbord of truffle hunts, truffle tastings. restaurant lunches, dinners, private hunts, special events and cooking classes. The hunting experience includes meeting our skilled hunting dogs, learning about truffles and advice from renowned author and recipe developer Fiona Hammond. After the hunt, indulge in a truffle tasting at our farm or lunches at leading local restaurants are a fitting finale to the adventure.

A truffle-inspired lunch prepared by a talented chef, enjoyed in a dining room overlooking the Red Hill hinterland is like a long-awaited holiday in Italy.
Truffle hunting in Red Hill is an immersive experience in a hidden pocket of the Mornington Peninsula. The truffle event starts with a magical talk about truffles, followed by a truffle hunt with our truffle-hunting dogs and knowledgeable guides. Learn about the fascinating world of truffles from cultivation to how to store and prepare truffles for your kitchen.
Lunch is at the award-winning cool-climate winery and Italian-farmhouse restaurant at Red Hill Estate (less than 5 mins away). Lunch is a 2-course truffle experience that showcases truffle dining with regional produce.

Unearth truffles with your own hands. An authentic experience with our fabulous truffle hunters where you can harvest truffles and then go for your lunch at The Epicurean Red Hill restaurant.
Escape into a different world. This truffle hunt and lunch package is a foray into the world of black truffles from their discovery underground, to learning how to clean and store them.
You and your fellow hunters then go to The Epicurean at Red Hill for a gourmet truffle pizza. U12 year price does not include the gourmet pizza.
Truffle Hunt & Truffle Pizza
Unearth truffles with your own hands. Shaving your harvested truffle over a home-made wood-fired pizza is a delicious & simple way to tell a story about local produce.
Understanding the back story, the years involved in cultivating truffles, the time it takes to train hunting dogs makes for a special and unique experience. Strolling in the truffiere with our hunters and truffle dogs, kneeling on the ground to harvest the fungi and preparing them to eat, adds to the appreciation of a truffle tasting.
Shaving the fresh truffles on a wood-fired pizza, a treat usually reserved for chefs, is a memorable finish to the hunt. The experience offers a unique opportunity for all ages to learn about truffles and understand a remarkable local produce tale from paddock to plate.

Unearth truffles with your own hands, followed by an option to purchase a truffle tasting experience at our truffle farm shop.
The truffle hunt commences at our Hunt Pavilion with an information session on the fascinating world of truffles. Guests learn about the history of the first successful truffle farm on the Peninsula.
Guests go out into the truffière to hunt with our talented and skilled hunters and our lovable springer spaniels to find the underground treasures. Guests have the opportunity to get down and sniff if a truffle is ripe and unearth truffles with their own hands.
Guests return to the Hunt Pavilion to wash and prepare their harvested truffles for a tasting. While washing they will be offered a glass of non-alcoholic local cider and hear why people find truffles are so evocative and desirable.
Enhance the experience with a truffle tasting at our truffle farm shop. Truffle delights that can be purchased include a hot truffle cheese toastie (Croque Monsieur à la truffe), a truffle cheese plate and cup of truffled soup. NOTE that not all of these options are available as they are in high demand and stock may run out.
You can book your hunt by simply selecting the month (click on arrow to scroll to the right) and then selecting the date from the calendar. Winter hunts are now available, starting late May to September.
Truffle Hunt Gift Voucher
Red Hill Truffles Gift Vouchers are a ticket to making memories that last forever.
Select the Gift Voucher option from any of our hunting and dining events. Alternatively purchase a $200 voucher, which allows the recipient to nominate their preference. If the cost of a selected hunt is less than the voucher, the remainder can be put towards another hunt, or the purchase of fresh truffles and truffle products.
All vouchers, for use during truffle seasons only, are valid for THREE years from the date of purchase.
